Tennessee Corporation, Partnership and Firm Disclosure (Engineering)

Ownership Requirements:

Business Corporations:

  • Corporations must appoint a Tennessee licensed engineer to be responsible for all engineering activities undertaken by the firm in Tennessee, and the responsible individual must either accept the authorization to brand independent design decisions or exist an officer of the firm.

Professional Corporations:

  • All shareholders (unless otherwise authorized by the board of engineers), officers (excluding secretary and treasurer), and at least one/2 of the directors must be licensed in a professional service provided by the PC.

Limited Liability Companies:

  • LLCs must engage a Tennessee licensed engineer to be responsible for all engineering activities undertaken by the firm in Tennessee, and the responsible private must either have the authorisation to brand independent blueprint decisions or exist a manager of the house.

Professional Limited Liability Companies:

  • All members (unless otherwise authorized by the board of engineers), managers (excluding secretarial assistant and treasurer), and at to the lowest degree i/2 of the governors, if any, must exist licensed in a professional person service provided by the PLLC.

Domestic Applicants:
